(MENAFN - Arab News) Grand Mufti Abdul Aziz Al-Asheikh called for drafting a list of those who are involved in forging real estate deeds valued at SR400 billion. 'Their names should be made public to shame them' he said.
'The Ministry of Justice has pursued these fake deeds and it should now disclose the names of the people who forged these deeds as a form of deterrence' he said.
The mufti said lying is not allowed in Islam especially while dealing with documents. 'People should be fearful of Allah and tell the truth. God says '(O you who have believed when you contract a debt for a specified term write it down. And let a cribe write (it) between you in justice).' The notary has a responsibility to God; they should be careful in what they write and register and shouldn't be deceived by bribes.'
The mufti said usurping lands that are public property is unlawful.
He warned against going after calls for jihad and avenging Islam under unknown and deviant entities especially after the Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of eight citizens who were affiliated with extremist groups outside the Kingdom.
'Our children shouldn't be involved in these practices and we should forbid them from putting their lives in danger' said the mufti.
