Jordan Expresses Concern Over Escalation of Crisis in Ukraine


Jordan has expressed its deep concern over the escalating crisis and developments in Ukraine.

Jordan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dina Qa'war said her country stress the need for the respect of Ukraine's territorial integrity.

In a speech she gave during the United Nations Security Council's session on the Ukrainian crisis, Qa'war said we call on all parties to refrain from resorting to military means and to cooperate in order to reach a peaceful solution based on the principles of the UN Charter and rules of the International Law.

She explained that Jordan calls on the United Nations and all influential parties to take steps in the right direction to enhance political dialogue between Russia and Ukraine in order to build on the efforts exerted to protect the security and stability of Ukraine including preparation of mechanisms needed to protect civilians and to provide assistance to the affected people.
