US economy rebounds in Q2

(MENAFN) The US economy is rebounded with more strength in the April-June period than was previously expected due to an increase in gross domestic product (GPD) at 4.2 percent, Gulf Daily News reported.

In addition, the number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits as well as a jump in home purchase contracts shows that the economy is improving.

Meanwhile, demands on home purchases were up 3.1percent in the second quarter compared to 2.8 in the first, thus registering the fastest leap since the second quarter of 2010.
