Tokyo Stocks End Lower


Tokyo stocks ended lower Thursday with investor sentiment soured as the yen regained some ground against the U.S. dollar, according to Nikkei Asian Review.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average fell 74.96 points, or 0.48%, from Wednesday to 15,459.86. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 5.18 points, or 0.40%, lower at 1,280.74.

Decliners were led by steel, rubber products and utility shares.
