Four Cops Among Eight Killed in Karachi Violence


At eight people including a doctor and four policemen lost their lives in the fresh wave of violence, Pakistan's Geo News reported Thursday.

Unknown gunmen shot dead Nadir Shah, an associated produce of Jaag TV, in Zaman Town area of Korangi. A policeman identified as Abdul Rahim was gunned down in Nayabad area of Lyari in the wee hours of Thursday.

Two other policemen were shot dead in Muslim Town area of New Karachi. Both the policemen were deputed at the Special Investigation Zone West. Doctor Nasim Jaafri was killed when unknown armed motorcyclists opened fire at his clinic in Korangi 5 area. There more people were shot dead in Korangi, Baldia Town and Lyari areas of the city.
