Death Toll Rises to Six in SW China landslide


At least six people were killed and 21 remained missing as of Thursday morning after a landslide struck a village in southwest China's Guizhou Province on Wednesday night, China's News Agency (Xinhua) reported.

The accident happened when a landslide hit Yingping Village in Fuquan City. Twenty-two people were injured on Thursday, according to the rescue headquarters. A total of 77 houses collapsed or were buried in the landslide and the lives of 154 villagers were affected. Rescue work is under way.
