Russia Sees Prospects of Ending Dispute Over Iran Nuclear Program


Russian Foreign Ministry said Thursday it saw real prospects for Iran to pursue its right in enriching Uranium and have international sanctions lifted off of the Asian country.

Russian news agency Itar-Tass reported today that a statement released by the Russian Foreign Ministry to the press said "Despite the uneasy negotiating process, a possibility is seen for the full realization of the rights of Iran as a member country of the Nuclear Weapons Nonproliferation Treaty, including the right for uranium enrichment and lifting of the sanction regime." They praised the agreement reached in Geneva on November 24 last year gives way for a settlement of the dispute on the issue. The Foreign Ministry added in its statement that settling the issue of Iran nuclear program will lead to more stability in the Middle-East.
