Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif cancelled Thursday his visit to Turkey in light of the country's ongoing political crisis.
The crisis ensued two weeks ago after a number of political parties held a sit-in in Islamabad demanding changes. Sharif was set to attend the inauguration of new Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan. Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain will represent his country in the event instead.
