Kenyan manufacturing to make 20 percent of GDP


(MENAFN) A senior Kenyan government official said the country's manufacturing sector will account for 20 percent of Gross Domestic Product in the next decade, Xinhua reported.

The share of manufacturing to the country's GDP has remained at around 10 percent for a long period of time, Industrialization Cabinet Secretary said in a statement.

"The goal will be achieved by ensuring that the right enablers are in place to support local industries produce competitive products for the regional and international markets," he added.
