(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwaiti Army's General Chief of Staff headquarters announced the start of the joint Kuwaiti-French meetings ahead of conducting their joint military exercise, known as Pearl of the West (2014), next November 15 through 27, a press statement by the Kuwaiti armed forces said on Tuesday.
The joint exercise involves contributions from the land, sea, and air forces of both armies and is taking place in implementation of an agreement
signed previously by both nations, said the statement.
It added that the Kuwaiti armed forces favored such joint exercises in its drive to upgrade and streamline its fighting capabilities.
Today's joint meeting was chaired by director of joint operations and chairman of the committee charting out the exercise Colonel Mohammad Abdullah Al-Kanderi, noted the statement.
