Chinese shares closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.99 percent to finish at 2,207.11 points.
According to China's (Xinhua) News Agency, the Shenzhen Component Index dipped 1.52 percent to close at 7,813.98 points.
