Roadside Bomb Explosion Kills 3 Afghan Army Soldiers


At least three Afghan army soldiers were killed following improvised explosive device explosion.

The Afghan Defense ministry spokesman, Gen. Zahir Azimi, said the three Afghan army soldiers were killed in the past 24 hours, according to the Afghan (Khaama Press).

Gen. Azimi did not disclose further information regarding the exact location of the incident.

Taliban militants and other insurgent groups frequently use improvised explosive device as the weapon of their choice to target Afghan and coalition security forces.

According to security officials, the Afghan army deaths stands at four service members daily on average which is mainly caused due to explosive device attacks.
