Hong Kong's exports, imports of goods up in July


(MENAFN) The value of Hong Kong's total exports and imports of goods showed an annual increase of 6.8 percent and 7.5 percent respectively in July, Xinhua reported.

The value of total exports of goods increased to USD42 billion, following an increase of 11.4 percent in June 2014, the Census and Statistics Department said.

Meanwhile, the value of imports of goods increased to USD47.5 billion in July 2014, after an increase of 7.6 percent registered in the previous month.

A trade deficit of USD5.43 billion was registered during the period, accounting for 11.4 percent of the value of imports of goods.

In the January-July period of 2014, the value of total exports of goods rose by 3.4 percent over the same period in 2013.
