Algeria, France Exchange Views on Mali's Dialogue


Algerian Minister for Maghreb and African Affairs Abdelkader Messahel and French president's adviser for Africa Helene Le Gal discussed in a meeting Monday the ongoing process of inter-Malian dialogue, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement carried by state news agency APS.

"The two officials have exchanged their views on the ongoing process of the inter-Malian dialogue and how the two countries can help the Malian parties to reach a comprehensive agreement, which will pave the way for a final and lasting solution to the multidimensional crisis in Mali," read the statement.

Messahel and Le Gal reiterated the two countries' commitment to a solution based on the unity and the integrity of Mali and underlined the need to continue to deepen their consultation, the statement added.

The two sides also touched on the situation in Libya and its repercussions on regional security and stability.
