- HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent Monday a cable of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Uruguay Jose Mujica on the occasion of his country's National Day - HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani has sent a cable of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Uruguay Jose Mujica on the occasion of his country's National Day - HE the Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah received yesterday a telephone call from US Secretary of State John Kerry in which he thanked the State of Qatar for the effort made to secure the release of US Journalist Peter Theo Curtis in Syria - Moroccan Prime Minister Abdul Ilah bin Kiran met here today with the HE Qatar Minister of Finance Ali Shareef Al Emadi who is currently on a visit to Morocco in the framework of strengthening and deepening the fraternal relations between the two countries.

Discussions during the meeting focused on ways to strengthen ties and mutual relations between the two countries.

- Spurred by industries and top banks' stocks, Qatar Exchange index jumped 112.38 points (+8.2%) Sunday when the bourse closed trading at 13,865.89 points.

The trading value reached QR 965.48 Million with a volume of 16,759,297 shares changing hands from 8,488 transactions today.

-Qatar Charity (QC) and Turkish Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH ) signed here today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the field of relief and humanitarian.

The MoU was signed by Yusuf bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, chief executive officer of QC and Fehmi Bulent, President of IHH The note comes to boost the existing joint cooperation between the two foundations, said QC in a statement today.

- Qatar Airways on Monday announced plans to increase frequencies on its services to Dubai.

Effective from October 26, Qatar Airways will operate 14 flights per day to Dubai International Airport and four daily flights to Dubai World Central's Al Maktoum Airport.

This popular Gulf route is currently served by the airline 91 times a week, and will be increasing to 98 flights a week, Qatar Airways said in a statement. (MORE)
