Vietnam's Chinese imports to grow 17.3 percent


(MENAFN) According to Vietnam's General Statistics Office, the country's imports from China are expected to grow 17.3 percent in the January-August period, Xinhua reported.

Vietnam is projected to spend around USD27.6 billion on imported goods from China, Vietnam News reported, the online edition of Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA.

During the first eight months of the year, Vietnam is forecasted to register a deficit of USD17.8 billion in trade with China, an increase of 18.5 percent over a year earlier.

On the other hand, Vietnam is forecast to gain a trade surplus of USD1.7 billion from international trade activities as a whole.
