One newcomer one emerging star and one old pro will grace the stage for September’s Laughter Factory comedy tour.
From Thursday September 4 Carey Marx will be joined by Steve Shanyaski and Nick Dixon to perform five dates across Dubai.
Carey’s career has seen him honoured with the ‘best international show’ at the New Zealand Comedy Festival as well as appearances everwhere from daytime TV talk show Loose Women to Glastonbury.
The often controversial comic who has also written for The Guardian newspaper is known for his linguistic dexterity and his set has been hailed as “hilariously demented” by The Edinburgh Evening News.
Steve Shanyaski entered stand-up after quitting his day job. Within six months he had reached the semi-finals of t BBC New Comedian of the Year competition.
He has since won several other awards for his comedy performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and appeared on the ITV show Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford.
In 2012 Nick Dixon reached the finals of the So You Think You’re Funny competition at the Edinburgh Festival cementing his status as a new face to watch.
Nick’s Facebook phrase describes him as a fan of oddball R&B singer R. Kelly as well as a regular at the Comedy Store venues in London and Manchester. Event details:
