Oman's NRI plans investing USD100m in Indian organic food


(MENAFN) Oman-based NRI Businessmen is in discussion with Indian authorities to start a USD100 million organic fruit exports business in the northern state of Maharashtra, Times of Oman reported.

The company will initially invest USD40 million in the project accompanied by a group of other investors in Oman.

Parakh Foods, an Indian food company, will supply organic fruits to NRI, which is likely to set up in Nagpur. Later on, the produce will be flown by helicopter then finally lifted by aircraft to the markets abroad.
