Arab Banking Corporation earnings surge 22%


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Arab Banking Corporation, or ABC, on Wednesday announced that its consolidated group net profit for the first half of 2014 was $137 million, a 22 per cent increase when compared to $112 million for the same period last year.

Net profit for the second quarter was $66 million, 18 per cent higher than $56 million reported last year.

Total operating income for the second quarter amounted to $242 million on the back of growth in business volumes across all our geographies. This was 15 per cent higher than the $210 million achieved during the same period last year.
