Kuwait- Parliament Speaker starts visit to Switzerland


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim arrived here on Sunday evening leading a parliamentary delegation on a four-day official visit to Switzerland under an invitation from the Swiss Federal Assembly.

Al-Ghanim and his entourage were received by Kuwait's permanent delegate to the UN Office in Geneva Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghoneim and Ambassador to Switzerland Bader Al-Tanib.

They are scheduled to hold talks in Bern with leaders of the Swiss Federal Assembly foremost among who are President of the Council of States Hannes Germann and President of the National Council Ruedi Lustenberger.

They will also meet representatives of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The delegation includes MPs Ahmad Lari, Humoud Al-Hamdan, Abdullah Al-Ma'youf, Mohammad Al-Anzi, Mohammad Al-Barrak and Yousuf Al-Zalzaleh.
