(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Iraqi President Fuad Massoum on Sunday stressed the importance of regional and international cooperation to defeat terrorism, urging Iran to contribute to the upcoming international conference on Iraq.

Massoum received today visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif, according to a presidential statement issued here.

During the meeting, Zarif underlined Tehran's support to forming a new Iraqi government, vowing to work with it for the good of both countries.
