Four Chinese Ships Enter Japanese Waters


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Tokyo August 24 (QNA) - Four China Coast Guard vessels intruded into Japanese territorial waters Sunday morning near the disputed Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea for the first time since Aug. 12 the Japan Coast Guard said. The vessels identified as the Haijing 2102 2113 2146 and 2305 left the waters about two hours later. Japanese patrol ships warned the vessels to leave the waters with one of the Chinese ships responding with a message that the waters belong to China according to the coast guard. The Japanese-administered uninhabited islets located in the East China Sea about 400 kilometers west of Okinawa's main island are claimed by China and Taiwan which call them Diaoyu and Tiaoyutai respectively.
