Salesforce.com posts strong revenue increase in Q2

(MENAFN) Salesforce.com Inc posted better-than-expected revenue in the second quarter, led by an increase in demand for its web-based sales and marketing software, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

The remarkable increase led Salesforce to raise its full-year profit and revenue forecasts, with expected revenue of USD5.34-USD5.37 billion. It had previously forecasted revenue of USD5.30-USD5.34 billion.

"We continue to see greater upside potential in the second half as our checks suggest there are mega-deals in the pipeline that could close, aided by the maturing efforts of CRM's new vertical-led strategy," Susquehanna analyst said.
