Singapore's Changi Airport passenger traffic up 1 percent in July

(MENAFN) Singaporean Changi Airport's passenger traffic increased 1 percent in July, with around 4.58 million passengers travelling through it, Xinhua reported.

Chinese passengers showed an increase for the first time this year over a year ago, according to the latest figures released by the Changi Airport Group.

The increase in the number of passengers from China is fueled by strong growth in traffic to and from Shanghai, Nanjing, Haikou, Hangzhou and Qingdao, the group said.

In the first half of the year, the airport handled 31.8 million passengers, an increase of 1.3 percent, while the number of planes take-off and landing rose 3.6 percent to 199,900.
