According to the case the two main accused used a sharp object for cutting the barbed wires on top of the jail’s wall. They made a small hole through which they made their way out without being noticed by the guards. Their accomplices — six Emiratis and six men of different Asian nationalities — helped the two inmates to get down from the wall.

Some of them took the pair to an unknown place to hide them. The others helped shelter the duo in their houses in Khor Fakkan. They were charged with abetting the prisoners’ escape sheltering them and not reporting the crime to the police.
