China Mongolia Upgrade Ties to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ulan Bator August 23 (QNA) - Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Mongolian counterpart Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj have signed a joint declaration to upgrade bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership. The two sides noted that the upgrading is based on high-level mutual trust a common aspiration for closer ties of mutual benefit and a shared wish to stay forever as good neighbors good partners and good friends that are mutually trustworthy and responsible. They set a goal of lifting bilateral trade to USD 10 billion by 2020. China is Mongolia's largest commercial partner and foreign investor as well. Bilateral trade reached USD 324 million in 2002 and rose to USD 6 billion in 2013. (QNA)
