Consumer Confidence in Europe Falls Sharply in August


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Berlin August 22 (QNA) - Consumer confidence in the 18-member eurozone fell more than forecast in August a survey released shows. The mood among households in the currency bloc fell for the third consecutive month from minus 8.4 points in July to minus 10 this month the European Commission closely watched survey shows. Analysts surveyed by dpa-AFX had predicted a decline to minus 9.1 points. Consumer confidence in the 28-member European Union dropped 0.9 points to minus 6.4 the commission says.(QNA)
