German exports to Russia dip 15.5 percent in H1

(MENAFN) Germany's exports to Russia declined during the January-June period of 2014, dragged down by a sharp fall in car and machinery shipments, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

The total value of German shipments to Russia dropped 15.5 percent in the first six months of the year, reaching USD20.34 billion, data released by the Statistics Office showed.

The first-half drop was sharper than the first quarter of the year, in which German exports to Russia declined by 13 percent compared to the same period last year, the data showed.
