Italian Foreign Minister Wary of Islamic State Threat


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Rome August 21 (QNA) - Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini warned of the threat that militant group Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) poses to the entire world. Mogherini who was addressing the Italian parliament today on the latest developments in Iraq stressed on the importance of reaching a comprehensive political solution that maintains the unity of Iraq. She also added that there should action must be taken on a regional level to confront ISIS. She said that the Islamic State's advances in Iraq threatened to destabilize the Middle-East region which she said was of strategic importance to Italy. She added that military assistance to Iraq is now a must. (QNA)
