Chrysler, GM to recall defective vehicles in China


(MENAFN) China's quality watchdog announced that Chrysler and GM will recall units in China's mainland over software and airbag defects, Xinhua reported.

Chrysler will recall 11,013 Grand Cherokees manufactured between July 17, 2013 and May 1, 2014 due to in-vehicle software flaws starting August 25th.

Meanwhile, GM will recall 700 Opel Agila-A cars produced between July 30, 2002 and Jan. 29, 2003, starting September 30.

The two companies added that they will repair the defective vehicles for free, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said.
