(MENAFN - #Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Wednesday phoned the Iraqi Prime Minister-designate Haider Al-Abadi to congratulate him on his assignment to form a new government.

His Highness the Prime Minister affirmed the State of Kuwait's keenness on supporting security and stability in Iraq, safeguarding its unity and territorial sanctityfor realizing aspirations and hopes of all segments of the brotherly Iraqi people.


The two sides, during the telephone contact, discussed means of boosting the bilateral relations between #Kuwait and #Iraq for serving interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak exchanged views with the Prime Minister-designate on issues of joint interest.
