British Cairn Energy losses narrowed in H1
(MENAFN) The British oil and gas explorer Cairn Energy losses were narrowed in the first half of the year as it seeks to settle a tax dispute in India, Arab News reported.
The company's net losses stood at USD62.1 million in the January-June period compared to a loss after tax of USD219.1 million in the same period a year ago, Cairn said.
"The group continues to seek resolution of the tax issue in India and will take all necessary steps to protect shareholders' interests," Cairn Energy chief executive said.
