UAE- Dar Al Ber mobilises Dh2.1m aid for Gaza


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The aid is a gesture of solidarity with the Palestinians who live in the dire humanitarian conditions amid aggression from the Israeli forces.The Dar Al Ber Society (Dabs) is continuing its humanitarian activities in Gaza and has reached out to the people there with more urgent relief caravans.

Acting on the directives of the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai the association has so far mobilised 10 urgent relief caravans worth Dh2.1 million.

The aid — organised by the Emirates Red Crescent — is a gesture of solidarity with the Palestinians who live in the dire humanitarian conditions amid aggression from the Israeli forces.

The caravans consist of basic foodstuff and groceries such as oil rice sugar flour and milk in addition to basic items like blankets bedsheets clothes medical aids cooking utensils and tents for the displaced families in Gaza.

These are distributed in collaboration with the Scientific Complex Society in Gaza and the Scientific Centre Society in Ramallah which are accredited for the distribution of relief aids by the UAE authorities.

The Dubai Government-run Dar Al Ber Society has also continued its humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza Jerusalem and Palestine throughout the year particularly during the holy month of Ramadan and the Haj season in association with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai.

The society accepts donations for its urgent charitable humanitarian and relief campaigns at its main headquarters on Shaikh Zayed Road; Ibrahim Al Khalil mosque in Bur Dubai; Ber Quran Study Centre for Women at Nad Al Hamar; and at Jumeirah and Al Musa centres in Jumeirah. Donations may also be delivered to the Women Affairs Department at Barsha; the society branches in RAK and Ajman; and via the ‘Heavens Gates’ live radio programme on the Noor Dubai Station every Friday.
