(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Cairo August 19 (QNA) - A member of Fatah Central Committee and head of the Palestinian delegation to Cairo talks on ceasefire Azzam Al-Ahmed announced the acceptance of the delegation of Egyptian initiative to extend the truce for 24 hours to complete indirect negotiations with the Israeli side. The five-day truce ended Monday midnight and the 24-hour truce starts immediately thereafter. Radio Israel reported earlier that the agreement was done between the Palestinian and Israeli sides to extend the ceasefire for another 24 hours in order to complete the initial agreement which is being elaborated in Cairo.
