UAE, Japan trade hits USD25.92b in H1

(MENAFN) The trade between the UAE and Japan is showing a healthy increase in the January-June period during the same period last year, Emirates 24/7 reported.

The bilateral trading reached USD25.92 billion with an increase of 4.43 percent compared to USD24.82 billion.

The increase in trade is mainly attributed to the growth in both exports and imports exchanged between the two countries.

Japan's exports to the UAE rose approximately 13 percent, amounting to USD4.59 billion, while imports were up 2.76 percent, reaching USD21.34 billion during the first half of this year.

Meanwhile, Japan's trade deficit in the first half with the UAE stayed nearly at the same level as it was during the same period last year, hitting USD16.7 billion.
