(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The accused denies charges claims he caught the victim along with her friend in an immoral act outside his house.A man who allegedly impersonated a police officer and raided the car of two students as they prepared for their exams before kidnapping one of them stood trial for kidnapping the Indian student 21 and molesting her in a sandy location. He was charged with molestation kidnap and impersonation of a police officer when his case was brought before the Court of First Instance.
The victim said the 30-year-old Egyptian man banged on their car’s window claiming to be a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officer around 4.30pm on May 18 2013. “He asked for our ID cards and then asked us to step out of the car. He asked my friend to leave claiming that we were doing an immoral act.
“He told me to ride with him so that he could take me home. As I rejected his offer he insisted and threatened to inform the police about me. I was stressed because I had my exams in two hours” she added.
After the girl got in the car the man drove in the area for some time before parking in a sandy location.
He allegedly then molested her. He reportedly let her go after he spotted some passersby in the area. He took her mobile phone number and threatened to inform the police if he ever saw her with her friend again.
The accused allegedly called her later and told her that he had a clip of her while she was in his car. He told her in another phone call that he had erased the clip and never called her again.
The complainant’s Indian friend 23 said in the prosecution investigation that the defendant pretended he was talking with the police and wrote down his car’s plate number before taking the victim away.
A police sergeant said the accused denied molesting the student. “He claimed he caught the two students in an immoral act outside his house.”
