(MENAFN Press) HTC, a global leader in mobile innovation and design, has unveiled two new entry-level handsets, designed to make life easier in numerous ways. The HTC Desire 516 and Desire 616 both offer high-quality 5-inch screens and powerful processing with dual-SIM support and excellent imaging capabilities at an affordable price, making them the ideal choice for keeping in touch with students as they return back to their studies, either at home or abroad.

"There is a defined need in the UAE market for a high-performance smartphone that combines highly functional features at an affordable price, and the new HTC Desire 516 and Desire 616 are designed to cater specifically to the needs of the tech-savvy but budget-conscious consumer," said Neeraj Seth, Head of Marketing HTC MEA, of HTC Corporation. "The HTC Desire 516 and Desire 616 give consumers more choice when looking for an affordable, high quality smartphone that offers the convenience of dual-SIM capabilities with superb photography abilities and the signature HTC experience."

Whether taking photos with friends or making a video call to a customer, both devices are equipped with excellent imaging capabilities meaning you can capture those 'can't miss moments' in incredible quality as standard. The HTC Desire 516 combines 5MP rear-facing and 2MP front-facing cameras, whilst the HTC Desire 616 features an 8MP camera capable of recording Full HD (1080p) video and a 2MP front-facing camera which also captures video in 720p.

For those who want to do more with their phone, HTC Desire 616 also comes with premium HTC features found on the multi-award winning HTC One series. HTC BlinkFeed aggregates the latest breaking news stories and social network updates into one continuous, visual feed for up-to-the-minute news at a glance. HTC Video Highlights combines the best photos and clips from an event into a slick, professional-looking montage, to impress friends, family and colleagues alike.

Dual SIM card holders give you the freedom of having two phones in one, making it easy to switch between multiple mobile accounts and manage both work and personal profiles simultaneously, whilst keeping the two worlds separate.

The new HTC Desire 516 and Desire 616 are available in dark grey and pearl white across all retailers in the UAE, for respectively AED799 and AED949.
