(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The visit of Yukiya Amano, the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to Iran tomorrow comes in the framework of efforts to advance the nuclear talks, Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Saturday.
The trip aims to boost cooperation between Iran and the IAEA, noted the statement. During his visit, Amano is due to hold a number of meetings with senior Iranian officials, preceded by President Hassan Rohani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, the statement added. Amano will also meet with Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, the statement pointed out.
Amano paid his last visit to Tehran in November.
