Malaysia's GDP to exceed 5.5 percent in 2014


(MENAFN) According to Bank Negara Malaysia, the country's economy is to exceed 5.5 percent in 2014 due to the strong performance recorded in the first half of the month, QNA reported.

Malaysia registered a strong performance in the first half of 2014 with a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of 6.3 percent, compared with 5.5 percent on year.

Meanwhile, the country's inflation rate was expected to remain at 3 percent to 4 percent for this year, as a result of the stable second quarter GDP growth of 6.4 percent.
