German GDP dips 0.2 percent in Q2

(MENAFN) Official data showed that Germany's gross domestic product (GDP) dipped 0.2 percent in the April-June period, QNA reported.

The second-quarter contraction was higher than the 0.1 percent decline expected for the German economy, the data showed.

On an annual basis, growth increased 0.8 percent in the period, compared to 0.2 percent registered in the same period last year.

The registered contraction marks the first since 2012, rising further doubt about the state of the economy in the Eurozone.
