Mixed jobless claims are expected

(MENAFN– ecpulse) This week and precisely today further labor data will be revealed as later on the day the country’s number of people filing for unemployment benefits in the previous week will be released and will most probably come out mix or in other words show a slight change.

In fact the initial jobless claims for August 09 could have actually inclined to 295 thousand from a prior reading of 289 thousand while that the continuing claims for August 02 could have actually plunged faintly to 2507 thousand from 2518.

Not forgetting that this past week we witnessed further signs of enhanced labor conditions as a report showed that fewer than projected Americans filed applications for unemployment benefits last week, sending the average over the past month to an eight-year low.

In fact the initial jobless claims for August 02 could came in below the market forecasts of 304 thousand at 289 thousand from revised reading of 303 thousand from 302 thousand while that the continuing claims of July 26 came in at 2512 thousand from a prior revised reading of 2542 thousand from 2539 thousand.

If truth be told throughout the recent past period more companies and employers are holding on to more workers in an effort to keep up with increased orders and stronger consumer demand and no wonder there is fewer layoffs and more hiring.

Keeping in mind that this last jobs report revealed showed that over 200,000 jobs were added in July for the sixth straight month by U.S. employers, the longest period since 1997, reiterating the growing confidence among U.S. employers about the economic outlook.
