Mariah Carey has parted ways with producer Jermaine Dupri after disastrous album sales. The 44-year-old who had worked with the producer for nearly 20 years has now teamed up with Kevin Liles reports contactmusic.com.

A representative of Carey told Page Six that he is “consulting with Carey.”

The pair joined forces to launch a beverage line Butterfly last year. Carey and Dupri had been working together since 1995 and in that time he was behind some of her most successful hits including We Belong Together.

The decision to split was made after her latest album Me. I Am Mariah ... The Elusive Chanteuse only sold just over 100000 copies since its release in May. For more news from Khaleej Times follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/khaleejtimes and on Twitter at khaleejtimes
