S. Korea's import prices dip 8.5 percent in July


(MENAFN) Central bank data showed that South Korea's import prices decline for the 23rd consecutive month in July, led by a fall in oil prices, QNA reported.

According to the Bank of Korea, import prices dropped 8.5 percent on-year last month, slowing from a 8.8 percent drop in June.

On a monthly basis, import prices dipped 0.5 percent, accelerating from a 0.1 percent change in June, according to the data.

Meanwhile, export prices declined 9.4 percent over a year in July, but when compared to June, they rose 0.3 percent.
