(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Doha August 12 (QNA) - The State of Qatar has welcomed the election of Mr. Fuad Masoum as the new president of Republic of Iraq Mr. Saleem Al-Jubouri as President of the House of Representatives and Dr. Haider Abadi assignment to form the new Iraqi government. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement expressed Qatar's hope that the formation of a new Iraqi government would be the starting point towards forming a comprehensive national government that includes all components of the Iraqi people stressing the need to adhere to the national dialogue as a platform to discuss the real priorities of Iraq. The Ministry also expressed the hope that this will be a step towards maintaining the independence of Iraq its security and stability stressing the need to overcome any divisions that would threaten the security and sovereignty of Iraq.
