Lithuania's annual inflation rate up 0.5 percent in July
(MENAFN) Statistics Lithuania announced that that country's average annual inflation rate edged up 0.5 percent in July 2014, Xinhua reported.
The Baltic country's average annual inflation rate, based on HICP, stood at 0.3 percent and 0.1 percent in June and May, respectively.
Lithuania is set to become the 19th country of the euro zone on January 1, 2015, after meeting all necessary criteria to adopt euro.
It is noted that Lithuania failed to introduce the euro in 2007 after inflation missed the EU target by 0.1 percentage point.
