China to establish legalized system of barter trade

(MENAFN) An official said that China seeks establishing a legalized system of barter trade to help firms reducing inventories and boost profits, Xinhua reported.

According to the Chinese National Excess Inventory Association, the country has launched its first regulations for barter trading in order to promote its sound development.

"China's barter trade is at a burgeoning stage. It is important to establish sound market order," vice president of the association said.

Companies will gradually find that bartering is a good way to move surplus inventories, attract new customers and increase sales, the official added.
