IOC grant for four Omani athletes


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) has received a financial boost from the IOC with the world Olympic body releasing a training grant for four athletes to prepare for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro Brazil.

According to a press release from the OOC the training grant has been disbursed under the IOC's Olympic Solidarity programme to two men and two women from Oman.

Sultan al Tooqi

The grants will help Sultan al Tooqi (show jumping) Ahmed al Marjabi (athletics) Shnoona al Habsi (athletics) and Wadha al Balushi (shooting) receive financial and technical support to train and work towards qualification for the 2016 Games.
