(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Beijing August 09 (QNA) - China said that it supports efforts made by Iraq in safeguarding sovereignty independence and territorial integrity as well as combating terrorism. According to China's news agency (Xinhua) the spokesperson's office of the Foreign Ministry made the remarks when responding to US President Barack Obama's announcement of airstrikes against extremists in Iraq. China takes an open attitude toward any action that ensures security and stability in Iraq on the precondition of respect for Iraq's sovereignty the office said adding that it hopes that Iraq can return to a stable and normal order at an early date.(QNA)
