French GDP to expand 0.2 percent in Q3


(MENAFN) According to the central bank of France, the country is to expand its gross domestic product (GDP) by 0.2 percent for the third quarter, Xinhua reported.

Industrial activities edged up last month, driven by a boost of food processing, automobile and pharmaceutical businesses, the bank said in its third quarter growth forecasts.

In July, orders remained "satisfactory," while the capacity utilization rate lost 0.2 percentage point to 75.8 percent.

Meanwhile, services trend was positive due to rises in transport, consulting and temporary work sectors with a further increase was forecast in August.
