British trade deficit hits USD4.2b in June


(MENAFN) The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said that the British trade deficit in goods and services was projected to hit USD4.2 billion in June, Xinhua reported.

In June, Britain registered a USD15.83 billion deficit in goods trade, widening by USD505.3 million compared to May, while services surplus is estimated to reach USD11.79 billion.

Exports of goods decreased by USD 842.18million between May and June 2014 to USD 39.58billion, as oil and manufactured goods fell over the period, said ONS.
